Experts have been busy trying to predict what the human race will look like in the far and distant future. They’ve considered several scenarios; how we’d look if there were to be a new ice age, if global warming continues and if we started colonising other planets.

Dr Matthew Skinner, a paleoanthropologist at the University of Kent, worked in conjunction with an artist called Quentin Devine to help visualise what humans might look like in the future.
If global warming gets worse and land mass decreases Dr Skinner believes we could possibly develop webbed feet and translucent eye lids to help us see under water. They also think we could develop gills to breathe under water.

In the ice age scenario, Dr Skinner thinks that our skin would become incredibly pale due to a lack of vitamin D from less sunlight. We would be covered in hair and develop some serious muscles. Our noses and faces would become bigger as a response to the colder air and we’d become a lot stronger.

If science fiction does become a reality we might develop short legs as in low gravity they would become completely unnecessary.

Dr Skinner said:

‘No matter what future scenario we find ourselves in, be it a water world, ice age or indeed that colonising another planet, the human race will strive to avoid extinction – ultimately, it’s a fight for survival.’

At the moment humans are still getting bigger, but skinner suggests that trend will reverse due to a lack of predators. This phenomenon is called ‘island dwarfing’ and it occurs when mammals have no predators and limited resources.

Interesting stuff. Did you know astronomers think that Aliens might have built a mega structure that’s orbiting a nearby star?

Using Simple Materials, He Transformed His Dining Room.When it comes to home renovations, these photos prove you don't have to compromise style and comfort for a low-cost solution.

#1 Starting to build the benches with supports and studs. 

 So he started with mounting wood on the wall, where benches would eventually go.

#2 Plywood created the bench seats. 

He added plywood for the seating, and extended it to all three walls...

#3 Seat foam was cut to size to make the benches more comfortable.

#4 Waterproof outdoor fabric was used to cover the seats.The applied water resistant fabric to the benches, just in case the kids spilled their drinks.

He then added bead board for the front of the bench..

Aogashima is a volcanic island 3.5 km in length with a maximum width of 2.5 km, formed by the overlapping remnants of at least four submarine calderas. The island is surrounded by very steep rugged cliffs of layered volcanic deposits. The southern coast also rises to a sharp ridge forming one edge of a caldera named Ikenosawa with a diameter of 1.5 km. The caldera dominates the island, with one point on its southern ridge, Otonbu with a height of 423 metres (1,388 ft), as the island’s highest point. The caldera is occupied by a secondary cone named Maruyama.

The Krubera Cave  is the deepest known cave on Earth, -2.191 metres. It is located in the Arabika Massif of the Gagrinsky Range of the Western Caucasus, in the Gagra district of Abkhazia, north-west of Georgia.

Using a cell phone, Silvia filmed her little boy, Benjamin, who was playing on the hallway floor.A little tiny creature just ran from the doorway under the counter.Benjamin was often talking to himself and acting strangely. When he started behaving oddly, Silvia began to record him, and that's when she saw, what she thought was, a field mouse.When she slowed down the video, she clearly saw a tiny figure running. It left behind a horrible smell and trail of discharge.It seemed the creature was running from the kitchen to the door, to get out to the garden. Benjamin continued talking to these creatures, who didn't seem aggressive. Now 5 years old, his parents have released this video. We're not sure what to believe, but maybe it's a weird lighting incident? This is the crazy stuff you find on youtube!

Trunko was seen alive, off the shore of Margate, South Africa, where it was fighting with two killer whales, then washed ashore. Beached for 10 days, it was given the name Trunko for the elephant-like trunk it had. The 47 foot long creature then went back out to see, nobody ever the white furry creature again. it was the only creature found alive.


It was described as being 47 feet (14 meters) long, 10 feet (3 meters) wide and 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall. Its name was given by a strange appendage resembling an elephant’s trunk. According to reports, it was covered with a snow-white fur and had a lobster-like tail.


This is the only globster reported as being alive when it beached and remains unidentified to this day.

Girl Who Had Been Frozen For 500 Years

Juanita La Doncella literally sits frozen in sleep at the High Country Archaeological Museum in Salta Argentina.

Discoverers named her Juanita La Doncella or The Maiden. She was found with two other children on Argentina's Llullaillaco volcano which sits 22,100 feet high.
According to the archaeologists who found the mummified remains in Argentina in 1999, the teen girl and the other children were left on a mountaintop to succumb to the cold as offerings to the gods.She's been called the "best preserved of any mummy", by National Geographic Explorer-in-Residence Johan Reinhard.Scientists say that her organs are intact . This lead to the discovery that the Incas fattened the children . Before the sacrifice these children ate maize and animal proteins often only had by the elite. Also further sample testing of her hair determined not only the type of diet and left in the mountains. The Incan high priests took their victims to high mountaintops for sacrifice. The children wore slippers and dressed in colorful clothing, elaborately decorated with metal, bone and cords. More than 100 precious ornaments were found with these children at the site.
