Khan Works Its Magic On The Lamborghini Aventador

Talk about a tuner who gets its work right, on every occasion on any car, and the first name that might pop up in your mind would be Khan Design. Yes, the UK-based tuner and interior specialist has unveiled its latest masterpiece – not an SUV this time, but a full blown Lamborghini Aventador. If the supercar was already one worth dying for, Khan has just come up with even more reasons for you to do so!
Lamborghini Rosso Red – that’s what they call the brilliant red finish that goes just too well with the Khan Pirelli wheels. The front is held together by a pair of 20-inch wheels, while the back runs on a pair of 21-inches. Customers have been spoilt for choice with the wheels arriving in two shades of grey.
If the outside looks swanky enough, the interior gets even better. The seats have been done in accordance with Khan’s liking in modern quilted Nappa leather. The steering wheel, along with portions of the dash have been smothered in plush Alcantara. On the whole, Khan, as always, has struck a perfect balance between the interior and the exterior. If the Lamborghini Aventador was one desirable car, it just got even more desirable!

Bertone Mantide goes from blush to pale, looks better for it

Love it or loathe it, the Bertone Mantide is one of the most striking automotive designs of the decade, and coupled with the Corvette ZR1's performance, Jason Castriota has created one of the most exclusive supercars in recent memory.
The second of ten Mantides has been delivered to its new owner before its official unveiling at the Dubai Auto Show next month, and -- to our eyes -- its all-white paint scheme looks even better than the original red example that debuted earlier this year.

Castriota has since left StileBertone and moved back to New York to pursue other endeavors. In addition to tackling the fashion and industrial design world, he's working on a new line of footwear that's expected to be revealed sometime in 2010. While a new set of kicks would be the perfect compliment to the machined aluminum throttle on the angular, LS9-powered coupe, we wouldn't be surprised to see Castriota tackling another automotive project in the future given his penchant for both style and speed.

DeltaWing Indycar concept

As we speak, the IZOD IndyCar series is looking over a number of proposals for the next generation of open-wheel racecars. One of those, the design from Dallara, has already been shown. Today at the Chicago Auto Show, DeltaWing pulled the covers off its design proposal, and the machine looks completely different from anything we've yet seen circling the Brickyard.
At first glance, a couple of interesting features jump out, not the least of which are the giant vertical rear wing and super-skinny front track. The cars also seem much longer than current Indycars, though we'd need to see the two machines next to one another to come to any real conclusions on the matter.

In any case, DeltaWing has a pretty radical design on its hands. Plus, Chip Ganassi Racing's Ben Bowlby, who formerly led design at Lola, is behind the effort. See for yourself in our high-res image gallery below and make the jump for an animated video of the DeltaWing buzzing around Mid-Ohio.

Mosler willl build just one MT900S Photon per year

There are more and more cars that can be easily placed in the high-performance and exquisiteness category. Definitely one of them is the MT900S Photon, a four wheel masterpiece built by supercar specialists from Mosler in Florida. We’d all love to own one but Mosler has recently announced they will limit the production series of MT900S Photon to just one unit for the whole 2012!!
To get you into the world of the MT900S Photon, we need to mention that it’s one of the most light-weight supercars on today’s market. Its weight of less than 2,500 pounds (fuel-included) is so low because of the carbon fiber body panels and the composite chassis.

The car gets powered by a 7.0-liter V8 coming from Chevrolet, tuned up to deliver 535 HP. This permits the supercar to reach 62 mph from a standstill in less than three seconds, and a top speed in excess of 200 mph.

In terms of looks, the car may seem a bit overage, its design having been used more than a decade ago, but the manufacturer added a few aerodynamic modifications to better the drive, plus a more contemporary kit-car-ish sensation.

The price for this particular unit coming to market is a staggering $479,000. Wouldn’t you fancy being the owner of the only Mosler MT900S Photon produced in 2012?

Crashed Ferrari Enzo Emerges As Edo ZXX

You may remember about a year ago an Edo-tuned Ferrari Enzo crashed into the ocean during the 2011 Targa Newfoundland rally. The footage of the incident was too painful to forget. An Enzo is not a car you can just scrap and forget about it. So the owner decided to bring it back to life. Here it is, emerging as an FXX-inspired Enzo, called the ZXX.
They have fitted the car with a modified FXX bod kit that differs in places from the original. It also gets new Edo competition wheels, a new exhaust system, and a heavily tuned V12 engine that reportedly makes 950 horsepower. That should make it the most powerful Enzo in the world. It has more HP than the FXX, more than Edo’s own FXX Evo even. They need to be careful with this now. They don’t want to crash it again, especially now that it has so much power.

The ZXX also gets a fancy two-tone yellow and white paint job with unique graphics. The cost of repair an tuning remains undisclosed.

Golden Batmobile will help Bruce Wayne blend in with his homies from the hood

Bruce Wayne AKA Batman may be worth $6.9 billion according to the 2012 Forbes Fictional 15 (which ranks fictional characters according to their net worth) but were sure that the billionaire playboy/nerd in disguise/vigilante would never go around flashing his moolah in this rather tacky looking gold-finished Batmobile.
An insult to the classic vehicle that has garnered cult status over the years for being classy, sophisticated and just oh-so-masculine, this golden Batmobile doppelganger created by the good folks over at Gotham Garage is one of the finest examples of why covering vehicles in gold is one of the more worthless things you can do as a custom automaker/tuner.In the fictional universe of DC comics, Batman is one of the less bizarre superheroes even though he too insists on wearing his underwear on top of his pants, has a penchant for capes, boots and weird headgear and his daily commuter of choice, the iconic Batmobile, has been hailed as one the of most realistic bits of technology popularized by the genre. However, covering it in gold might make it more suited to a Batman who prefers to wear oversized sports jerseys and massive gold chains and crawls through streets blasting gangsta rap on his expensive Bose sound system as he enjoys a joint or two with his homie Robin rather than the somber and sophisticated superhero that we all love and adore.Since the deep black paint finish of the Batmobile allows it to move stealthily through the night and creep up on bad guys, covering the vehicle in gold would actually have the exact opposite effect. The golden monstrosity might as well have a big flashing neon sign installed on top saying “Batman inside: target missiles here”.

Maybach Exelero

Predominantly known for luxury, Maybach branched into supercar territory with the Maybach Exelero. The Exelero was an imposing mix of batmobile, hearse and pure evil.
Superkara is powered by a twin-turbo V12 petrol engine in the Maybach 57 S, which develops 700 hp and 1200 nm. Top speed is 351 km / h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h to weigh more than 2.5 tons car only needs 4.4 seconds.

ATS 2500 GT Supercar

The ATS 2500 GT is a new Italian supercar with a mid-engine rear-wheel-drive architecture. It measures 4.25 m in length, 1.90 m in width, 1.15 m in height and it has a wheelbase of 2.44 m. The official specifications of the ATS 2500 GT say it weighs 980 kg and that it has a power-to-weight ratio of 510 hp per ton. This means that its 2.5-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine develops 500 hp, which is quite a lot for its size. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, and a limited slip differential. With so much power, the ATS 2500 GT is able to get from nought to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.3 secondsand to reach a top speed of more than 300 km/h.

Milan Abarth Supercar

It was unveiled last week in Monaco, and while it may have some influences in its design, mainly from older racing cars, it is, dare we say it, unique. However, if its racecar-esque looks don`t win you over, its proposed power figure definitely will, as the Milan Abarth is said to be available with power outputs ranging from 600 hp, all the way up to 1,700 hp.

Also, thanks to its very low curb weight of just over one tonne, if it has the right tires and gearing, it could sprint to 100 km/h or 62 mph in around two seconds (that could mean both under and over the specified value). Set to cost from €300,000, the car will be unveiled with official formalities in February of next year.

Vittoria Concept Supercar

With a hybrid drivetrain, Vittoria concept supercar has three different power modes: 100 percent electric which uses the rear mounted electric motor to power the rear wheels, 100 percent internal combustion engine where the rear wheels is powered with supercharged V8 engine, or a hybrid configuration which using the combination of both modes to provides maximum power output.

Lotus Extrema

There are many power source from GM to move the car. From 350 hp turbocharged 2.8-liter V6 for just over 1,800 pounds. And then a Superlight variant is also available, weighing in at 1,650 pounds and equipped with either a 2.6- or 3.4-liter V8, producing 360 or 450 hp, respectively. The biggest bore for the high speed’s maniac is available too from GM-supplied V8, ranging from two LS3s producing either 420 or 500 hp, the 520-hp LS7 or the 638-hp supercharged LS9 Corvette ZR1. Completing the engine’s option UK Garage allows drivers choosing a manual or sequential transmission.
