Guy Builds Epic $17 Million Dollar Bunker Which Can Withstand 20-Kiloton Explosion

#1 $17 Million Dollar Bunker

This bunker occupies 4200 square feet in the beautiful Montezuma County, located in Colorado. From the outside it looks like any other house, albeit the massive tower behind it.

#2 Inside

The interior is cozy and normal looking as well.

#3 Metal Vents

Normal ends when you notice that the ceiling has metal vents that work to prevent contamination if a nuclear attack were to occur.

#4 Steel Walls

And, even Superman might have trouble breaking into this house, since it's walls are made of steel.

#5 Power Systems

The house has four separate power systems, in the event of an attack that leaves us powerless in every way.

#6 Water

In a nuclear attack, or any other apocalypse on earth, the water would become contaminated. The house is prepared for that with a seven stage water filtration system.

#7 Secluded

There's lots of land surrounding this epic house, and if you don't have $17 million dollars to buy it, you can rent it for $19,500 a month.

‘Insidious’ Dodge Challenger by Dave Salvaggio Goes On Sale

Those bitten by the Dodge bug would be glad as the 1970 Challenger is now put up for sale. The unique ‘Insidious‘ was designed and built by Dave Salvaggio in 2007. It has been entirely revamped, be it inside, outside or under the hood.
The car is drenched in black pearl overlaid with olive and sandstone pearl. The exterior poses a new attire with the door handles, roof rail moulding and trim pieces being taken off. The re-contoured wheel arches and new glass are some new elements.
The scratch build grille and taillights along with new-looking hood, bumpers and front fenders, give it a refreshed look. Under the hood lies a 426 Hemi crate engine coming from Mopar Performance. It comes with custom headers, custom exhaust and a Hillborn EFI unit. It is mated to a Tremec TKO 600 transmission and offers 575 hp (429 kW).
The chassis is rejuvenated and now integrates four-wheel independent suspension and coilover springs. The car is fitted with Symbolic TS15 20-inch wheels and Pirelli P-Zero tires.
Leather and Wilton Wool replaces the vinyl and polyester carpeting while the car shows off Alcantara headliner with the seats enclosed in Spinneybeck leather with suede inserts. Moreover, the leather also covers the piston grip shifter, Tuff steering wheel and dashboard.
The Pioneer DVD sound system would keep you entertained in the plush interior that uis further accentuated with green-gold inserts in the doors and steerling wheels.
This stunning machine can be purchased through R & H Collectibles of Ohio for a price of USD159,000.

Fast and Furious Movie Car For Sale

Up for sale at the Volo Auto Museum in Illinois is this matte gray 1970 Dodge Charger RT movie car, which claims to have been driven by Vin Diesel as Dominic Toretto in the 2009 Fast and Furious movie.
Not only being a movie car, the custom Charger features a stripped and modified interior with a new sport steering wheel, plenty of gauges, and an automatic V8 with a large supercharger and intake coming out the hood. They say the appraised value is $200,000, however I have a hard time believing that due to the fact that Hemmings values a 1970 Dodge Charger RT around $28,995 to $74,900. But I guess spending the extra 100k for an all time classic movie car could be worth it. Fortunately they have “marked” the price down to $129,998 for anyone interested.

Building The Engine For a Special COPO Camaro – Video

Back in October Chevrolet made a very special COPO Camaro Convertible model to be auctioned off to benefit the American Heart Association. This being a special project, GM sent Jim Campbell, vice president of Performance Vehicles and Motorsports, down to the assembly line to personally put the engine for this car together.
Assembling a 550 hp 327 V8 with a 4.0 liter supercharger looks like great fun to us, especially when it serves a good cause.

2014 Mercedes V6 Turbo Formula 1 Engine Previewed

This may look like a high-tech electric meat grinder, but it is in fact Mercedes’ new V6 Turbo Formula 1 engine, shown recently to a group of journalists at the team’s factory in the UK. The purpose of this preview was to ensure the media the new generation of F1 engines sound ‘sweet’.
Ever since they decided to go with V6 engine and use turbocharger to make up for the lost power, there has been a lot of controversy regarding their noise. The current F1 engine have an iconic bellow that is their signature dish. Take the out, and they lose a big chunk of their appeal for the spectators.

On the face of it, the new V6 engine shouldn’t sound anything like the V8s for a couple of reasons. First they have a size of only 1.6 liter, and they have a giant turbocharger, clearly visible in the pictures, killing most of the noise coming out the exhausts. Do no despair though, because as Mercedes showed to the journalists, they may not be just as loud, but at least they sound ‘sweet’.

“The engines are going to be loud, but I think sweet sounding,” said Andy Cowell, managing director of Mercedes-Benz High Performance Engines. “The frequency will be higher and, with the turbocharger running at 125,000rpm, they will be loud. When you are stood next to it on the dyno it is not quiet and you need ear defenders. “There will be a new quality to the racing too. It will edge towards a thinking drivers’ formula to get the most from the car and the available fuel energy.  The engines will also deliver much more torque – especially on the exit of the corners. They will also put F1 back at the cutting edge of new technology – which is what the fans want.”
