5 Reasons Why A Dog Will Make Your Life Better

The benefits to owning a dog are endless, here are 5 reasons your dog will make your life better!

#1 Help With Your Allergies

Do you have a specific allergy that tends to get in the way of everyday things? Certain dogs can be trained to detect allergens in food like nuts. Friendship & life saving, they really do it all.

#2 They Will Make You Smile

Looking at your dog looking back at you is like looking into the face of the cutest baby in the world. If you don't smile, chances are you don't have a heart. So if you like smiling, get a dog and let them do their thing.

#3 Great With Kids!

Do you already have kids? If so, a dog is the absolute best "toy" they could have. If you want to provide your child with not only a friend, but a guardian as well, a dog is the way to go.

#4 They'll Give You Someone to Love

Feeling lonely? Well you wouldn't if you had a dog. Not only do they provide companionship, but the chances that you'll love your dog are pretty high. And who doesn't want love???

Kawasaki ZX-770R Concept

While Kawasaki is known for great motorcycle designs, Dutch designer Sabino Leerentveld drew up this unique super car concept called the Kawasaki ZX-770R. It was inspired by the KTM X-BOW, which is a four wheel car also made by popular motorcycle manufacturer ABT.
This Kawasaki super car would be extremely light, weighing in at only 500 kg or 1,100 pounds. Power would come from a plentiful V6 turbocharged powerplant, which is said to develop a whopping 770 horsepower. This is more than enough for a car this size, and has us questioning if the wheels would even be able to stick to the pavement.
Nevertheless, at the track the Kawasaki ZX-770R supercar concept would have breathtaking acceleration and top speeds, while also being able to handle like a dream. If not Kawasaki, hopefully some motorcycle or car manufacturer will take up on this concept because it looks to have the potential of a best seller. Stay tuned for more updates about the Kawasaki ZX-770R concept car in the future.

Scion FR-S Concept Is So Hot, We Can Taste It

After the most difficult gestation since someone decided “Spiderman” needed to be a musical, the Scion FR-S Concept finally appeared at the New York Auto Show, carrying the hopes for a true compact rear-wheel-drive sports car — actually coated in candy.
The latest iteration of the Toyota-Subaru joint venture known as the FT-86 appeared with a body that makes a pledge to uphold Toyota chief Akio Toyoda’s pledge to put some passion back into the company’s vehicles. Blunt, smooth and compact, yet with the long hood of a proper rear-wheel-drive car, the FR-S should easily be the most handsome Scion ever, when a production version appears within a year.
Toyota only revealed partial information about the heart of the FR-S, saying it would sport a 2.0-liter boxer engine of unspecified power tweaked with a Toyota direct-injection system, paired with six-speed transmissions of either manual or automatic stirring.

It’s such an attractive car — the kind of sports coupe forgotten in a rush to fuel savings — that we could almost taste it. Apparently it would taste pretty sweet, according to this line from the press release: “The FR-S Concept is layered in rich coats of Code Red, the appropriately named color that consists of a custom blend of candy and a developmental additive from BASF called Mearlite SSQ.”

Scion. First with cars you want to lick.

Subaru BRZ STI Concept

Subaru had this tease on display at the 2011 LA Auto Show called the Subaru BRZ STI Concept. Although it is not in production, this is one of the first Subaru sports cars we have seen that is not all-wheel-drive nor turbocharged. While it still holds the famous Subaru four-cylinder boxer engine, this is one of the first live appearances of what the Subaru BRZ STI will look like.
At the exterior is a large wing that jumps out and is somewhat typical Subaru styling. Since the BRZ won’t be as fast as the original STI because of the lacking turbocharger and AWD, it will make up for this by cutting weight. Performance parts such as Bembo brakes all around are still present, while we look forward to possibly having a carbon fiber roof being an option for some customers.

Bertone Mantide goes from blush to pale, looks better for it

Love it or loathe it, the Bertone Mantide is one of the most striking automotive designs of the decade, and coupled with the Corvette ZR1's performance, Jason Castriota has created one of the most exclusive supercars in recent memory.
The second of ten Mantides has been delivered to its new owner before its official unveiling at the Dubai Auto Show next month, and -- to our eyes -- its all-white paint scheme looks even better than the original red example that debuted earlier this year.

Castriota has since left StileBertone and moved back to New York to pursue other endeavors. In addition to tackling the fashion and industrial design world, he's working on a new line of footwear that's expected to be revealed sometime in 2010. While a new set of kicks would be the perfect compliment to the machined aluminum throttle on the angular, LS9-powered coupe, we wouldn't be surprised to see Castriota tackling another automotive project in the future given his penchant for both style and speed.

2014 Hyundai Genesis Sedan Previewed in Wild HCD-14 Concept

Hyundai shocked the motoring world back in 2008 by launching a rear-wheel-drive luxury car, the Genesis. Five years later and the company is still pushing the envelope. At the Detroit Auto Show this morning it just revealed its vision for the next version of this car.

Called the HCD-14 Genesis, this sleekly styled sedan is very likely the shape of things to come. John Krafcik, president and CEO of Hyundai Motor America said the concept reveals the future design direction for the company’s upcoming premium vehicles.

Since their respective introductions, the Genesis and Equus nameplates have been doing surprisingly well, garnering a combined 9 percent market share (Genesis Coupe included). They’ve been performing better than the Hyundai brand overall, which has been on fire. Additionally, they’ve had very strong residual values as reported by ALG.

The HCD-14 is designed to build on this success. The car wears a so-called “fluidic-precision, liquid metal” design language. According to Hyundai, its gemstone-like surfaces convey quality, while the long dash-to-axle ratio, afforded by its rear-wheel-drive architecture, gives it a sporty look.

Short front and rear overhangs, large-diameter wheels and a sleek greenhouse compliment the other design elements. Suicide – sorry, “rear-hinged” doors in today’s politically correct parlance – are a cool, retro touch.

With the HCD-14 Genesis, Hyundai didn’t stop at a striking exterior, designers followed through inside. It features a driver-centric cockpit and a center console with enough storage space to house the included Apple iPad.

Designers were also able to eliminate the traditional center stack, which normally houses audio and climate controls. Instead, this concept features eye tracking technology and 3-D gesture recognition. Basically, you look at what you want to control and then move your hand; the car responds to your gesticulations.

Ahead of its firewall the HCD-14 Genesis features Hyundai’s award-winning 5.0-liter Tau V8. The powerplant is equipped with direct fuel injection and variable valve timing on the exhaust and intake cams. Output figures have not been shared at this time but the engine delivers 429 horsepower with 376 lb-ft of torque in today’s version of the car. It’s matched to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Waste gasses produced by that burly two-by four under the hood are expelled through a special ceramic-lined exhaust system that was tuned for low back pressure and high-RPM power. It supposedly delvers a deep baritone sound.

While many of the HDC-14 Genesis’ components are already in production, a lot of them are far from market-ready. This concept is a good look into Hyundai’s crystal ball, so don’t expect to be able to purchase one at your local dealership anytime soon.

DeltaWing Indycar concept

As we speak, the IZOD IndyCar series is looking over a number of proposals for the next generation of open-wheel racecars. One of those, the design from Dallara, has already been shown. Today at the Chicago Auto Show, DeltaWing pulled the covers off its design proposal, and the machine looks completely different from anything we've yet seen circling the Brickyard.
At first glance, a couple of interesting features jump out, not the least of which are the giant vertical rear wing and super-skinny front track. The cars also seem much longer than current Indycars, though we'd need to see the two machines next to one another to come to any real conclusions on the matter.

In any case, DeltaWing has a pretty radical design on its hands. Plus, Chip Ganassi Racing's Ben Bowlby, who formerly led design at Lola, is behind the effort. See for yourself in our high-res image gallery below and make the jump for an animated video of the DeltaWing buzzing around Mid-Ohio.

Mercedes-Benz Biome concept

Futuristic Mercedes Biome concept points to a mid-engined eco supercar to take on the BMW Vision ED
The futuristic Mercedes-Benz Biome concept previews a full-sized design model of a mid-engined eco supercar to battle the BMW Vision ED around 2015, Autocar has learned.
Created at Merc’s Californian design studio, the ground-hugging four-seat coupé explores the future of sustained mobility to a brief set by the Los Angeles Design Challenge.Although the eco-friendly ‘grown from a seed’ body construction and organic drive system are fictional, the ground-hugging stance, exaggerated proportions and striking design lay the foundation for a new ecological supercar.
