The Most Outrageous Before and After Photos You Have EVER Seen

Before and after photos are the best. They are ageless proofs of certain changes, and the bigger those changes are, the more excited we all get about them! The thing is, we all change, all the time. Even our cells are dying and being replaced all the time, which means that we change from the within too, even though these changes are not as visible. However, there are some changes that are more visible than others, and we’re not only speaking about people and their faces! These changes are actually so visible, and they happened so many times throughout the history, they are even shocking sometimes! That’s exactly why we decided to make a list of the most outrageous before and after photos you’ve ever seen.

1. Wow! Dubai has certainly gone a long way from being a small, desert city to being the most expensive city in the Middle East. By the 1960, Dubai’s economy was mostly based on trade. However, ever since oil was discovered, the most populous city in the United Arab Emirates accelerated its development. Today, Dubai is the center of tourism, real estate, financial services and it is definitely iconic for its skyscrapers and infrastructure. Naturally, before and after photos of Dubai are fascinating.

2. For the last four years, California has been going through an extreme drought. The severe drought has left California’s valley fields and lakes bare and dry, and as farmers watch their crops die, the water supplies have been in shortage as well. Warnings have been issued and water-wasters are facing fines up to $10,000, but still, the environment has changed a lot, and residents of the most affected cities need to adjust their lifestyles to new conditions. One of the “victims” is Lake Oroville.

3. New York went through one of the biggest transformations in the history of the city from the early 1980’s until the 2000’s. The rebirth of Wall Street during the 1980’s made New York the center of the worldwide financial industry. This trend remained through the late 1990’s, when the city benefited from the success of the financial sectors, such as Silicon Alley. Naturally, the financial growth was followed by more buildings and generally, big changes in the city’s infrastructure. This before and after photo of Times Square shows the change that lasted for 30 years.

4. Christian Bale is definitely one of the most popular, but also, iconic movie stars in Hollywood. He is also the living proof that actors sacrifice a lot if they want to show the world how serious they are about their career. Christian proved many times that he is physically ready to change himself for the role- and he did it successfully every single time. Over and over again, Christian shocked us with his incredible weight loss or weight gain and obviously, with his before and after photos.

Supercomputers reach 100 petaflops

In 2013, China's Tianhe-2 became the fastest supercomputer in the world, achieving 33.8 petaflops, with a peak performance of 54.9 petaflops. It was nearly twice as powerful as its nearest competitor, the "Titan" machine at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee, United States. Tianhe-2 showed great success in computational fluid dynamics (CFD), scramjet combustion and other aircraft simulations. Other research areas included genomics (population genetics) and biomedical applications. It continued to maintain the top spot for the next few years, with no other challengers, leading to concerns over a possible stagnation in the progress of supercomputing speeds. This was further compounded by trade restrictions – imposed by the United States government – which prevented China from using Intel's chip technology for upgrades. However, this actually boosted China's own processor development and production industry.

In 2016, Tianhe-2 received an extra 45 petaflops, thanks to a novel system architecture developed within China. The machine was renamed Tianhe-2A and became the first supercomputer to demonstrate a peak performance of 100 petaflops, or 100 quadrillion floating point operations per second.* Alongside this upgraded version was a second machine, known as Shenwei-x. This too was capable of 100 petaflops. Both machines would reign at the top of the list for only a short while, however, as the United States was regaining its lead in supercomputer research. A project called "Aurora" was being developed at the Argonne Leadership Computing Facility (180 petaflops), along with IBM's "Summit" (150 petaflops), the latter having an optional upgrade to 300 petaflops. This would be followed by the first exascale computers (1,000 petaflops) towards the end of the decade.

Lady Gaga Announces Plans For New Album To Come Out This Year

Could this be the year of Gaga? It sure seems that way when she started the year off right at the Golden Globes on Sunday.

After the award show Lady Gaga briefly talked about a new album release sometime this year, but there is no word on when it will officially be released — for now.

Lady Gaga told reporters backstage at the Golden Globes on Sunday that, “I am putting out an album this year. I won’t tell you when, but it is coming out this year.”

Will it be like her 2013 'Applause' album, or more subdued to go along with her latest appearances. 2014 was Gaga’s last album that collaborated with Tony Bennett called ‘Cheek to Cheek', which featured more classical jazz duets.

Lady Gaga gives her first Golden Globe a kiss after the award show

When asked about her new album and if it will reflect what Gaga is looking like lately she said:

“That’s a difficult thing to say as I don’t know that you yet know what I will look like for my next album. I am still creating all those things. It is something that is a gradual change that is always with me.”

The 29-year-old singer took home her first Golden Globe Sunday as she has been venturing into the acting industry with her role on 'American Horror Story: Hotel.' Gaga got blinged in early 2015 after she said yes to her long-time partner Taylor Kinney.

Will 2016 be the comeback year for Gaga? It sure seems that way.

Bad News For All Game Of Thrones Fans

Sadly, winter might not be coming anytime soon.

#1 Bad news: George R. R. Martin is behind schedule.

The author said he missed the deadline for completion of his novel, The Winds of Winter, which was Dec. 31.

#2 How this affects the show.

Season 6 will have to proceed before the book is even published. His lateness is affecting everyone who works on the show, and Martin himself is very disappointed.

#3 Martin published this statement to his blog:

"You're disappointed, and you're not alone," wrote Martin. "My editors and publishers are disappointed, HBO is disappointed, my agents and foreign publishers and translators are disappointed, but no one could possibly be more disappointed than me."

#4 Martin can't even give a solid estimate when his latest book will be finished.

"When delivery will be, I can't say. I'm not going to set another deadline for myself to trip over. The deadlines just stress me out," said Martin.

Get a Feel for Web Hosting Pricing & Value

Some people choose web hosting providers strictly based on price. That's not a great strategy, but you should definitely take pricing into consideration. The best providers offer options for every budget. In some cases, signing up for long subscriptions will qualify you for extra discounts.

Also, try to leave yourself room to grow. It's great to choose a web hosting plan that suits your site's current needs. With any luck, though, your site will grow and expand over time. Your needs could change. Switching to a new web hosting provider is a major hassle, so look for one that offers scalable plans. In other words, you should be able to upgrade to another plan easily if necessary. Low prices are always great, but if the low price comes with limits on space or bandwidth, you want to make sure the deal is really worth it.

In the same vein, you may want to note how many e-mail accounts are provided. Whether you think you'll need dozens of email addresses or not, it's nice to have the option to create as many as possible. In most instances, more expensive plans include larger numbers of email addresses. This feature isn't very important to some people, but it is critical to others.

Trading strategy

In finance, a trading strategy is a fixed plan that is designed to achieve a profitable return by going long or short in markets. The main reasons that a properly researched trading strategy helps are its verifiability, quantifiability, consistency, and objectivity. The development and application of a trading strategy follows eight steps:Formulation,  Specification in computer-testable form,  Preliminary testing, Optimization, Evaluation of performance and robustness, Trading of the strategy, Monitoring of trading performance, Refinement and evolution.

For every trading strategy one needs to define assets to trade, entry/exit points and money management rules. Bad money management can make a potentially profitable strategy unprofitable.

Trading strategies are based on fundamental or technical analysis, or engage them both. Technical strategies can be broadly divided into the mean-reversion and momentum groups. There are also specific strategies, like "Sell in May and go away but remember to get back in September". Trading strategies are usually verified by backtesting where the process should follow the scientific method.

Types of trading strategies
The term trading strategy can in brief be used by any fixed plan of trading a financial instrument, but the general use of the term is within computer assisted trading, where a trading strategy is implemented as computer program for automated trading.
