Let’s be honest: if there weren’t people in this picture, we would have turned the photo around to ensure the house was right-side up. But, thanks to the long line of guests waiting in line, we are quite certain that this house was built upside down. Without any danger of rolling down the hill, the home was constructed to look as though it had been tossed aside and toppled over, a successful design to say the least!

This home was built as a replica of a David Steinbeck home that was built especially for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. The house was designed to mirror its natural landscape and work with the beauty of the surrounding geography. From the stone work and extended deck to the waterfall, this is the most peaceful home on our list.

Robb Handcrafted Cycles

We rarely feature contemporary Harley customs, but when I saw these images by Australian photographer Michael Drabikowski, I had to make an exception.
Because this isn’t your typical V-twin show bike; for starters, it’s an absolute featherweight. It tips the scales at a smidge under 360 lbs (162 kg), thanks to the liberal use of lightweight custom parts and carbon fiber. The motor is a thoroughly rebuilt 1969 XLCH—blueprinted, balanced and ported, drinking through an S&S Super E carb, and converted to a left-hand gearshift. The chromoly steel frame is a custom one-off, powdercoated in carbon black. It’s fitted with heavily modified Ducati 916 forks, carbon fiber wheels designed by Blackstone Tek, and Brembo calipers. Builder Dylan Robb is a master craftsman, as the images below show, and pretty much built this bike in his garden shed. The lightweight body enables faster acceleration and easy handling which is something non-racers look for in a bike. The Street Racer weighs 16 kg and can also be used without the motor if you want to work up a sweat.What buyers will appreciate is the training mode that enables riders to simulate gradients consisting of four levels from mountain sections to the lowlands. Empulse Electric Motorcycles

Great news for those of you interested in the brand new Empulse and Empulse R electric motorcycles – Brammo has finally released availability and pricing details regarding these motorcycles. We already knew that both these versions, the regular and R, have a range of 100 miles (160 km) and can reach a decent top speed of 100 mph (160 km/h).
They come with a 10.2 kWh lithium-ion battery, all-time magnet AC motor that can generate 54 HP (40 kW) at 8,200 RPM, 63 Nm of torque and 6-speed gearbox. They can reach city ranges of around 121 miles (195 km) and highway ranges of 56 miles (90 km). It’ll take 8 hours to fully charge any of them, in case one doesn’t purchase the 3.5 hour fast

The Confederate X132 Hellcat Combat Motorcycle

The fastest big block V-twin motorcycle in the world, the Confederate X132 Hellcat Combat motorcycle is finally going into limited series production. The 172.2 mph world speed record was set by James Hoegh at the Bonneville Salts during last summer, reportedly equating the asphalt speed of 200 mph.
This stunning 2-wheeler boasts with a 2,163 cc engine which delivers a massive 160 HP, tied to a 5 speed transmission. It is, at the same time, extremely light, weighing just 500 lbs – this is in fact the reason for which the X132 is able to reach those speeds. In addition, to be able to effectively drive it to a halt, Confederate Motorcycles have also fitted it with a set of Brembo brakes at the rear and Beringer brakes at the front.

KTM unveils the 1290 Super Duke R prototype

The newly finished KTM 1290 Super Duke R prototype has been recently unveiled at the EICMA and Intermot and quickly became one of the top viewed vehicles.
In fact, it’s an extremely lightweight trellis-framed naked bike, propelled by a 1,290cc version of the RC8R V-twin engine, fitted with an entire array of disengageable electronic riding assistance, drive-by-wire, new prototype WP suspension at both the front and rear and all sorts of carbon fiber parts. According to KTM, this bike will hit the market in less than an year from now.

The fun side of this 2-wheeler though is not what we know about it, but rather on its basis – the RC8 R motor, which delivers 173 HP (129 kW) and 120 Nm (88.5 lb-ft) of torque in the 1,190cc version, will reportedly be developing somewhere between 180 and 200 HP until the bike hits showrooms.

Lazareth’s Unique FZR Compressor Prototype

This futuristic bike was designed and built for Mathhieu Kasovitz’s “Babylon A.D.” movie, released in 2008, with Vin Diesel as protagonist. The sci-fi screenplay needed an out-of-the-ordinary vehicle to be driven by Diesel, thus the Yamaha FZR Compressor Prototype was born.
Lazareth took care of designing the motorcycle, using a Yamaha FZR 1000 as blueprint. The original bike got almost completely modified. The suspension and the whole frame were lowered, and among the many additions it now features a single arm to the rear.

Fat Attack AG Harley Davidson “The ONE”

The bike is still powered by a Harley Davidson engine which is able to produce 110 HP but thanks to the stripped weight it will be a lot faster than the standard Harley. The price for this beauty? “The One” is priced at $145,000 but if you’re looking for a bike with perfect balance between beauty and performances, this might actually be the one.

Intel Quad Core Bike

The Intel bike is fun simply for all the bits and pieces that you can’t see in the side profile. Intel commissioned the bike to celebrate the introduction of their quad-core processors so the OCC gang gave it a four-cylinder engine. The heart of the bike is a small mobile PC mounted in the gas tank with a fingerprint recognition starter, a digital dashboard, cameras instead of rear-view mirrors, a GPS system and wireless (maybe 3G) internet connectivity. This was easily the most technologically advanced bike that OCC produced.

Yankees Bike

Baseball’s Evil Empire even invades this list about choppers. This bike was commissioned by the Yankees and the Jorge Posada Foundation for a charity auction. Even if you hate the Yankees, you’d have a hard time hating this bike. An expertly fabricated baseball and Yankees logo are on the engine and the Yankees “NY” logo is inset into the front and rear wheels. And, naturally, the trademark pinstripes feature prominently in the paint scheme.

Bomber Bike

The bike was commissioned by Northrop Grumman (the lead contractor for B-2s) and the US Air Force to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the B-2′s first flight. The most obvious design feature is the gas tank which was built around the handle bars to look like the cockpit of the B-2. The wheels have five aluminum B-2 models mounted to form a star in the middle on each side for a total of 20 B-2 models representing each of the B-2s in the Air Force fleet.

Robot Bike

Also called the Future Bike (so as not to upset the lawyers), this bike was designed for the premiere of the Will Smith movie of the same name. Smith himself was also consulted in the design of the bike. What resulted was the bike world’s equivalent to those crazy concept cars you see at international car shows. The biggest difference is that this thing can actually run. It’s probably not the best bike to take out on the back roads but as a design experiment, I think it’s a good look at what choppers will eventually start to resemble.

James Bond Skyfall Honda CRF250R

The CRF250R is one of two motorcycles heavily featured in the opening chase scene for “Skyfall”, the 23rd entry in the 007 James Bond film franchise.
Bond, played by Craig, commandeers the bike from a Turkish street merchant to chase after the villain Patrice (played by Ola Rapace) who rides another CRF250R dressed to look like a police bike.The unique CRF250R is expected to raise “tens of thousands” of British Pounds (so at least US$15,800).

Dodge Tomahawk V10 superbike features an independent four-wheel suspension and its engine is taken from the famous American sports car Dodge Viper. The result is a motorcycle that outputs over 500 horse power. The production was limited to 9 units of this concept bike, which sells for a whopping $555,000. Chrysler executives said they are having serious thoughts about going mainstream with a price of $250,000 / unit, despite the fact, that these motorcycles cannot be legally driven on public roads. The rumor has it, that they cost Chrysler over $100,000 to build.

Harley-Davidson Night Rod

My first impression of Harley-Davidson’s 2012 Night Rod Special was this: I’ve never ridden a motorcycle that propelled me f
orward with such velocity. The slightly scary part was that it wasn’t even that difficult. No thinking, no shifting, no timing. Just. Go. Forward. No, Harley-Davidson hasn’t outfitted its latest V-Rod with an automatic transmission. It’s just that, even in first gear, I could get the motorcycle to 60 mph without even red-lining. For me it was a new experience.

  What we have here is one of the latest entries into the power cruiser arena, and here are the vitals: Folks, for just $15,299, you get a slammed-black liquid-cooled V-Twin fuel-injected two-wheeled 5-speed dual-exhaust motorcycle. In retrospect, I guess that “two-wheeled” part was redundant. Anyway … Harley sells the Night Rod Special with the idea that it is the perfect combination of power and swagger, and, for the most part, I think they hit it on the head.

Displacing about 1,250 CCs, the Night Rod Special makes about 85 ft.-lb of torque and 125 horses at peak power, and for me that was plenty. Leading up to my picking up the motorcycle at H-D headquarters in Milwaukee a few weeks ago, I was worried about the feat-forward-hands-forward seating configuration, but after about 20 miles on I-94 heading back to Madison, I was over it—I felt fine. In fact, for this V-Rod model, Harley brought the footpegs and handlebars a few inches closer to the seat. Near the end of my first 90 miles on the motorcycle, my posterior was almost pain free, and my back was fine, too.
