Dog Recued from Ice Trap

You would have always heard that dogs are men’s best friends and there are several examples to prove the fact. However, even humans consider dogs as their best friends. It has been proven once again in an incident that happened in Castle Island in South Boston. A husky was getting drowned in the freezing ice when a fireman rescued her and saved her life. The story of dog rescue is a touching one.
The Full Story of Dog Rescue

Sylvie is a 13 year old husky who accidentally fell into the ice and was about to lose its life. She went out for her regular morning walk and broke away and fell into the ice. She was about to lose her patience and was already giving up when the help arrived. She was about to believe that she was going to die but the firefighters turned out to be her best friends. They came and rescued her from the ice clogged situation and the dog herself was quite grateful for the same. Her action and expression showed the same and anyone would be able to understand how desperate she was to get out. When the firefighters reached her, she was way away from the shore and it was not possible for her to reach the shore in such a freezing condition.
How The Dog Rescue Process Commenced?

The dog was trapped in the freezing cold for around 30 minutes. The rescue team comprised of Coley used a hard tug to pull her up from the snow. He said in a statement that at that point of time, the dog was losing her energy and the barks had turned to whimpers which made it clear that it was losing its energy. The fireman pushed himself towards the dog in a small boat and returned to the shore. The dog was not hurt at all but it was cold and wet. It was handed over to the master who took care of its health.

The story of the dog rescue from the river of ice proves the fact that no matter where you are trapped, your best friends are there for your rescue. Here, the friendship between dogs and men is proved once again and it is quite encouraging for the everlasting relation. Many such incidents take place in the world where either the dog or the man help one another and save lives. This is just another small example of that.

Hachiko - The True Story of a Loyal Dog

Hachiko was a real dog, he belonged to a Tokyo University professor named Eisaburo Ueno in the 1920’s. Hachiko is remembered for his remarkable loyalty to his owner, even many years after his owner's death.

In 1924, Hidesaburo Ueno, a professor in the agriculture department at the University of Tokyo, took in Hachiko, a golden brown Akita, as a pet. During his owner's life, Hachiko greeted him at the end of each day at the nearby Shibuya Station. The pair continued their daily routine until May 1925, when Professor Ueno did not return. The professor had suffered from a cerebral hemorrhage and died, never returning to the train station where Hachiko was waiting. Every day for the next nine years the dog waited at Shibuya station.
Hachiko attracted the attention of other commuters. They brought Hachiko treats and food to nourish him during his wait. This continued for nine years with Hachiko appearing precisely when the train was due at the station until he died on March 8, 1935. In April 1934, a bronze statue in his likeness was erected at Shibuya Station, and Hachiko himself was present at its unveiling. The statue was recycled for the war effort during World War II. The new statue, which was erected in August 1948, still stands and is an extremely popular meeting spot.
Each year on April 8, Hachiko's devotion is honored with a solemn ceremony of remembrance at Tokyo's Shibuya railroad station. Hundreds of dog lovers often turn out to honor his memory and loyalty

Meet Giant George - The World’s Tallest Dog

After a publicity campaign started by his owner and a bunch of fans, George, a Great Dane from Tucson, Arizon received the rightful title of World’s Tallest Dog.

After Gibson, a Great Dane from California and the previous holder of the Guinness World Record for tallest dog past away from bone cancer, George’s owner David Nasser tried to get his dog to be named successor. However, due to errors in paperwork and measurements, the title went to Titan, another Great Dane, from California.

But David Nasser wouldn’t let his beloved pet be deprived of what was rightfully his, and together with Giant George’s fans started a publicity campaign. Their efforts paid off, and after careful measurements it was decided 43-inch-tall George was indeed the world’s tallest dog, and not 42.25-inch Titan.

Giant George weighs 250 lbs, sleeps in his very own king-size bed and can barely fit in the back of his owner’s SUV. He even has his very own website and has become a certified celebrity.

This is called “Look.” Allow the Husky puppy to look at some food in your hand and raise the food up to the level of your eye. When you see the puppy look at you at eye level, you tell the pup “good” and award him/her with a treat. Note: Give the Husky puppy the food from the other hand.

When you want to make your puppy sit, you should show him/her that you have food in your hand. You should say “sit” and then wave your hand around him/her, until he/she sits. You tell your Husky pup “good” and then award him/her with a treat from the other hand.
