$320,000 for the Made-over 1400 HP Chevrolet Camaro Dragster
Canadian Serge Leger commissioned an impressive Camaro dragster which features a 6.0-liter LSX V8 engine, a 91 mm Turbonetics turbocharger, a 5-inch downpipe, a custom intake manifold, and a 6-inch intercooler. With these modifications, the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS engine boasts of 1400 hp (1044 kW / 1419 PS) and 900 lb-ft (1219 Nm) of torque.
This transformation cost $320,000. Apart from that, it required 3800 man hours to be completed. The Camaro was upgraded with a strengthened unibody, a TCI 4L80E transmission, a Moser 9-inch rear end, QA1 coilovers, and a Baer braking system (with 6-piston calipers clamped onto 355 mm discs). It could not be prepared any better!
Among its various engine modifications are custom 3-inch dual exhaust, custom exhaust manifolds, custom charge piping, flex-A-Lite radiator and fan combo, custom stainless coolant piping, custom transmission and oil cooling radiators and lines, injectors 2150 cc Fuel injector clinic, aeromotive A1000 (x2), aeromotive pro series EFI FPR and a custom built aluminum fuel cell with scavenger built in among others.
Leger has skipped the traditional racing interior and has opted for red Italian leather upholstery, redesigned the dash and center console with relocated factory heater and controls, a Pioneer audio system, reshaped door panels for speakers and a Mac Mini with 3G/WiFi connectivity.
