2014 Corvette Convertible to Bow at Geneva Motor Show
When the 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray was unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show in early January, one question still loomed at the end of the press conference: when is the convertible coming? Now, it is being reported that the drop-top version is set to debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.
A source within General Motors confirmed to Autoweek that the Corvette convertible will be at Geneva, though the company has not offered any public word on this yet. Geneva is a show normally dominated by Italian sports cars and exotics, so it looks like Chevy is trying to make a statement bringing out its convertible ‘Vette next to the best from Maranello.

The Convertible version isn’t likely to change all that much compared to the coupe, which is powered by a V8 engine that makes 450 hp and 450 lb-ft of torque. That’s enough to find 60 mph in under four seconds, with help from a new rev-matching seven speed manual transmission.
The Corvette Convertible will go on sale as a 2014 model, and could be in dealerships by the end of 2013.
